About Tom

I first arrived in Alaska from Montana in 1980, after graduating as a Petroleum Engineer. For the last 40 years, I have worked for various oil companies in our state, including Amoco, ARCO Alaska, ConocoPhillips, and BlueCrest Energy Alaska.

Through my work on the oil fields, I know both ends of the resource development industry and understand what it will take for resource development to flourish, to continue to provide jobs and revenue for the state, and to maintain a high standard of living for Alaskans.

We must let our resources lead the way forward, live within our means, and tackle fiscal irresponsibility.

I am and will always be a committed Republican, dedicated to the principles that have worked so well for our state and nation. Unlike some legislators, my values are not for sale.

​We need to get back to the fundamental principles which made America and Alaska great.
